Wings 3D eh? Is modeling with Wings that much easier that it's worth using that instead of modeling in C4D? I might have to check it out...

Yeah it is actually! I find it much more fast paced and easy to use.
I dont know what its like in rhino and I've not done poly modelling in 3Ds Max enough to compare, but I found its little things like; you can only loose your poly selection if you press a specific button like the spacebar, and it has a neat shell feature and loads of things... I mapped a hotkey to all my favourite functions like bevel and bridge and inset.
I'm rabbling now, you should check out wings 3D its free and therapeutic (imo)!!
